This source is a Supreme Court decision on the Hobby Lobby case. It details the reasoning for the decision and also includes a dissent by the justices that were opposed to the decision. The United States Supreme Court is the highest judicial court in the US. Their decisions create precedents that affect the outcome of future cases. The source was use to explain the reasoning for the Hobby Lobby case. The dissent was quoted several times to evaluate how this court decision can and will affect working women.

This was a more common language source of materials and statistics similar to the others, but explained in a way that I could both quote and allow for an easier grasp on the data, that was otherwise difficult to interpret and put into an essay.

This Information board by the United States Equal Opportunity Commission was used as a guide to reference the number of protections under Federal law in relation to sexual harassment. It sections off the different types of sexual harassment, these sections include: race, ethnicity, disability, genetics, retaliation, age, sex, genetics, and retaliation.

The article outlines the meaning of equality and diversity and how it pertains to the labor force. The NHS is the National Health Services, a branch of the Department of Health. Its goals are to provide care when people are ill, but also to provide information to create a healthier lifestyle. The source was used as means to provide a different take on the word equality as it equates to the work field beyond a simple definition that ignores the complexity of real life scenarios.

This article explains the inconclusive figures of contraception costs. Its purpose was to provide a resource for people curious about the claims politicians were making about contraception costs. Ben Finley is a staff writer for Factcheck.org, who graduated with honors from The Ohio State University. He has won multiple journalism awards. This source was used as a means to attach some numbers to the potential changes in contraceptive costs as outlined in the state to state differences. It was mainly used to explain that overall providing contraception was the more cost effective method than dealing with unplanned pregnancies.

The Washington Post is a Pulitzer prize winning publication. The article was used as a reference for quotes and a source to find points for further research.

Graham has practiced medicine for 30 years. She graduated from the
University of Washington in 1984 and specializes in family medicine. The source was used to identify other medical uses for birth control. It establishes birth control as far more useful than its explicit purpose.

This citation provided general background information on the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, and clarified subtleties about resetting statutes of limitations that I didn’t quite understand.

one of the top sources for financial and business information. Highly trusted amongst industry leaders. This webpage was used as cited credible source to display how many privately owned companies there are. The information was used to establish the potential scale of the hobby lobby decision.

This article outlines the ongoing debate in Colorado about
contraception. It explains the points that each candidate is making and
how accurate their claims are. Lori Robertson is the managing editor of factcheck.org and has worked as a journalist for nine years. Fact check.org is a nonpartisan organization that aims to increase voter knowledge by identifying and reporting the validity of claims made by politicians, and their ads. The article was used as a discussion tool to explore the current hot issue of birth control. It was used to express potential alternative solutions to the debate. Gives even evidence of the importance of this contemporary issue.

The article further explains the outcome of the hobby lobby trial. It takes directly from the written supreme Court decision and explains their meaning. John Schwartz is the the New York Times national legal correspondent and is in charge of covering court cases. The New York Times is a world renowned news publication.

Like mentioned above, I used the actual law itself along with Grossman’s essay to expand from The Equal Pay Act of 1963 and The Civil Rights Act of 1964 into the more recent developments of The Lilly Ledbetter case in 2009.

Material from the Bureau of Labor Statistics provided raw and impartial data that I was able to use to reinforce my point in the understanding of the reader. I liked it as a source because there was no spin to it, only raw information that I was able to mold into paragraphs in my paper.
